Sheikhpura: Mountain Collapses During Stone Mining, Several Workers and Vehicles Trapped

A major accident occurred on Friday during stone mining at Chakandra Hill in Sheikhpura. A large portion of the hill collapsed, injuring three workers severely and trapping several vehicles under the debris. The incident has caused widespread panic in the area.

According to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), following the accident, employees of the mining agency fled the scene. Efforts are currently underway to clear the debris and rescue those trapped. The authorities are also investigating the cause of the collapse. 

The incident highlights the safety concerns surrounding illegal or unsafe mining practices in the region, raising questions about the oversight and enforcement of regulations in such operations.
